AIA is a non-profit organization recognized by the Wittenberg Student Senate as an official Wittenberg organization in 1986. AIA strives to cultivate an international community at Wittenberg by education and community interaction. Here is a list of what AIA does:
The three main annual events-

  • Crossroads- Crossroads is an annual event which usually happens in early Fall semester. In this event, international students cook menus from their country so the members of Wittenberg and surrounding communities could have a taste of other cultures.
  • AIA Fashion Show- The AIA Fashion Show is an annual event which usually happens in early Spring semester. In this event, models who voulenteer to walk in the fashion show will wear clothing from other countries as well as clothing from stores in the surrounding area.
  • AIA Formal- The AIA Formal is an annual event which usually takes place in mid Spring semester. In this event, members of the Wittenberg community are invited to join AIA in a formal! It usually takes place either in the Springfield Inn or in the Marketplace.

Other events which may or may not happen-

  • International Hour- The International Hour is a periodical presentation of a foreign country given by international students or students/faculty who have spent time in that country. The format of this event will largely depend on the person giving the presentation. Email AIA if you want to do an international hour!
  • International Movie Trips- Movie trips which happen quite frequently to see films featuring a international topic.
